We have an opening for part time Office Assistant who shares our commitment to excellence. This position resides in our head office, requires flexibility, fantastic people skills, attention to detail, cultural sensitivity, and the ability to pitch in where needed. The office assistant is friendly, optimistic, a pleasure to interact with and ready to pitch in where required. Excellent writing and communication skills are required, as is sensitivities to cultural differences inherent to a global business environment.
He or she will report to the President, and will perform a wide variety of duties, including:
- organizing the office in general and specific ways
- greeting customers on the telephone
- attending to office needs and errands
- assisting with marketing projects
- monitoring important customer communications points, including IM, Skype, Phone, email, and mail.
- eventually assisting with email support
- taking meeting notes
- being a customer advocate
- assisting in research projects
- other duties as may be required in a small office.
Fluency in a 2nd language is a strong plus. Familiarity with Microsoft office, email and the internet. Ability to organize self, work indepedently. Able to learn software programs. 20-30 hours per week. Salary DOE. Casual work environment.
