Integrated Zip Compression for Outlook 2003
MessageLock for Outlook will place your documents into a compressed zip "container" file that will reduce transmission time and saves bandwidth. You can configure MessageLock to automatically unzip inbound files, or auto-compress outbound files that meet a size threshold that you specify. MessageLock will not unpack dangerous files that are restricted by Outlook security.
Widely Compatible Hundreds of millions of computers are capable of accessing zip attachments. The penetration of the zip file format is nearly universal and cross-platform, so most users can access the contents of a MessageLock encrypted zip file without installing special software.
Does it Work with ALL Zip Utilities? MessageLock compressed zip files are accessible by virtually all zip utilities.
MessageLock zip files that are encrypted using the Zip2 encryption option are accessible by virtually all zip utilities.
MessageLock encrypted zip files using strong AES encryption are compatible with leading zip utilities such as WinZip 9.0, PKZip and the free TugZip, and is increasingly supported by other zip utilities.
Won't Unzip Dangerous Files
MessageLock for Outlook 2003 will not auto-unzip email attachments that contain nested directories or file extensions prohibited by Outlook's security. If the restricted file was encrypted, MessageLock's File Viewer lets you decrypt and then save the restricted files to your disk outside of Outlook.
Restrict Compression by Domain or Email Address
Do you have a client who just doesn't want to receive zip files? Add their email address or internet domain to the restrictions list, and MessageLock will not send them zip files.
