A .PST file is a personal storage table created by Microsoft Outlook. It holds email messages, file attachments, calendar items, notes, journal entries, contacts, RSS feeds, and more. PST files are a complex database designed by Microsoft that contain all of the message, meta-data, and file attachments of an email message.
