Can MessageExport convert multiple emails to multiple PDF files?
Yes, exporting emails to PDF is the primary use case for MessageExport by profesionals.
Can I automatically give a name to a PDF files?
Yes, MessageExport provides tremendous flexibilty in naming and/or numbering the resulting pdf files.File names may include email metadata such as to, from, subject, date, etc.
Does MessageExport save email attachments?
Yes, you can choose to embed files within the PDF document, convert them into the PDF image, extract them to a folder on your hard drive, or ignore them.
Is batch processing of email supported?
Yes, MessageExport supports processing of individual or multiple emails, either on a manually selected, automated or batch process basis.
Where can I find my email attachments?
Email attachments are saved to a location you specify. The location can be set so that MessageExport will not prompt you each time.
Can I convert email attachments to PDF?
Yes, most common document and image file types can be converted into the PDF. If MessageExport is unable to convert the document, it will be embedded within the PDF.
When looking at an attachment that has been converted to PDF, how can I tell which file it is?
MessageExport includes small breadcrumbs along the left side of the image. At a glance, you will know which attachment you are looking at.
Can I export multiple emails to a single PDF?
Yes. Multiple emails can be exported into a single PDF document.
Can I add new emails to an old PDF file?
Yes, you can append additional emails to any PDF file.
Can I export an entire Outlook folder to PDF?
Yes, you can export emails containined in one more selected Outlook folders to PDF. You can also export new emails that have been added to a folder since your last export.
Are the PDF files generated by MessageExport searchable?
The PDF files created by MessageExport are searchable.
Can MessageExport save my emails to PDF automatically?
Yes, MessageExport can be set to find new emails in one or more Outlook folders, and then export them to PDF.
Does MessageExport support other file formats than PDF?
Yes, there is a wide selection of other formats that you can export email to including mbox, eml, msg, csv, odt, jpg, tif, jig, jpg,and others.
Is PDF/A format supported?
Yes
Do you support different page sizes, such as European and legal page formats?
Yes, you can select different page formats for PDF documents including letter, note, legal, A0-A10, B0-B5, Arch A-D, Flsa, Half letter, ledger and custom.
Is enterprise installation supported?
Yes. Contact our support team for the .MSI file.
Does MessageExport work with Symantec Enterprise vault?
Yes there is an integration with Enterprise Vault. You can also export directly to Sharepoint libraries.
What are the Export Profiles?
When you choose a format from the MessageExport drop down list, you are selecting an export profile. This is an editable set of instructions that help MessageExport operate exactly how you want it to. You can create new profiles or delete old ones.
How fast is the PDF export operation
MessageExport tries to use multiple processors during the export phase. Total time will depend on numerous factors including the processing power and RAM of your PC, the format of the email (text is very fast,), the length and complexity of the email message, whether there are remotely hosted graphics, and the number and size of file attachments.
Which versions of Outlook are supported?
MessageExport add-on runs in all Windows versions of Outlook supported by Microsoft. That presently includes Outlook 365, 2019, 2016, 2013, 2010,2007. Support for 2003 has been discontinued because it is no longer maintained by Microsoft.
Does MessageExport work on a Mac, Android or Linux?
No, at this time. Contact our support team to express your interest in support for those operating systems.
